A Bit About Me

Since I was a child, I have been endlessly curious. Growing up I spent my allowance on history and nature books, was captivated by other cultures, human history, and intrigued by our primate ancestors. Among many goals, I wanted to be a forensic pathologist and help solve crimes. Not the typical dream job for a kid but perhaps a clue to my passion to get to the bottom of things. My early work experience and university studies in anthropology became the foundation for a career as a leader of people and change.

After university, I landed a job at the start-up airline WestJet. A perfect fit for my growing business interest and passion for people and culture . . . there a career in change and project management took flight

While at WestJet, I was fortunate to experience an organization grow from an ‘idea on a napkin’ to an international carrier and hold the position of Director – Strategic Project Office. The founders of WestJet encouraged a people-centric business approach which left a lasting impression on me and my practice.

Since leaving WestJet, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and sectors in Calgary, applying and extending my diverse skills as a change leader.

I am a graduate of the University of North Texas (M.Sc.), University of Calgary (B.Sc.), a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified change management practitioner (PROSCI, Change Guides LLC), an associate of Culture Strategy Fit, and an associate and board Co-chair of the Human Venture Institute.

Born and raised in Calgary, I can’t think of a better place to come home to after travelling. I am a long-time yoga practitioner and when I’m not working (or standing on my head), you can find me in the garden, on a hike, on my bike, or reading.
